Angela Hearns
Community Advocate
The youngest child of Bishop Henry Hearns and the late Ms. Essie Hearns, Angela blends her father’s boldness in sharing the Good News with her mother’s lifelong devotion to education and people.
Roots & Family Legacy
Angela considers herself a true hybrid of her parents. Bishop Hearns’ fearless witness and Ms. Essie’s nearly 35 years as a beloved educator at Wilsona Elementary School shaped Angela’s own passion for people, service, and community.
Education & Public Service
Motivated by that legacy, Angela earned her Master’s in Social Welfare (MSW) from UCLA in 1998. She has since served nearly 27 years as a Deputy Probation Officer in Los Angeles County, bringing compassion, accountability, and hope to those she serves.
Ministry & Music
Angela finds deep joy ministering alongside her father as a soloist, lifting voices and hearts through music and testimony. Her faith fuels her service—in the community, in the courtroom corridors, and in worship.
Today & New Beginnings
Anchored by family and a close circle of friends, Angela eagerly embraces the New Beginnings God has for her—walking forward with gratitude, expectancy, and unwavering faith.
“New Beginnings are God’s invitations to grow, to serve, and to sing.”
